We have been talking about this forever, summer camps at Sky Tavern so we are going to give it a go. This is a place kids need to use all year long so Step 1!
Sky Tavern staff will be handling all the food and camping arrangements and Project Discovery, the ropes course at Sky Tavern, will be keeping kids busy all day long.
Kids will be staying in tents donated by Scheels, with supervision, at night and eating up at the lodge.
Project Discovery is a truly amazing organization and have been a partner with the City of Reno and Sky Tavern for many years. What Mike and his staff do with kids is fun and learning on a whole new level. It is why some days I don't get much done since I go watch the kids on the ropes course.
This camp is part of some planned changes coming to Sky Tavern. This place needs to be a place for all the Truckee Meadows all year long. It will take some effort but the community needs this place.
