LAP, TRACK, GIVE BACK!
We’re excited to invite you to Bike-A-Thon on Saturday, July 26th — an awesome day of laps, laughs, and giving back! Bike-A-Thon directly supports Sky Tavern and High Fives Foundation, two Reno/Tahoe nonprofits dedicated to breaking barriers to outdoor recreation, regardless of limitations.
What is it?
Bike-A-Thon is a collaborative initiative to support both organizations’ ongoing efforts to break barriers to outdoor recreation for individuals of all abilities. The event runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and includes a trail-lapping challenge, food trucks, cold beverages, group rides, a jump skills workshop, and wraps up with awards, raffles, and grand prizes.
How do I join?
Sign up in advance. Participants will complete as many laps as possible between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM, tracked by Strava. Prizes will be awarded to the top riders, and each lap completed will earn a raffle entry. Additional raffle opportunities will be offered for day-of participants with drawings held at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and a grand prize of a Specialized Status 140!
What skill levels are welcome?
ALL skill levels and abilities are invited! Our Riders in the Sky coaches will lead several beginner and intermediate group rides, including cornering tips on High Five, and our trailbuilder extraordinaire, Steve Wentz, will lead a jump skills tune-up workshop.
How do I support?
Register and pledge now, and purchase raffle tickets at the event. Bike-A-Thon is one of the most fun ways to support our initiatives and community. It’s never been more important than now to support our public recreation facilities and nonprofits who do the work to ensure more butts get on bikes.
