We're thrilled for you to join us in the sky this winter! Since it's never too early to think snow — we received a dusting Monday morning — it's the perfect time to start preparing for your winter adventures. Here are a few tips to get you familiar with the processes before hitting the slopes.
Get Your Gear!
- Rentals are on sale now. Register for rentals today. Follow the instructions in the email with the subject IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT INFORMATION which you will receive 72 hours after registering
- Helmets are REQUIRED when on the snow at all times! Need more gear? See the details on our upcoming SKI SWAP below!

New Parent Orientations
Highly recommended for parents new to the program, we have two options for an orientation meeting. Meetings will be held at the Sky Tavern Lodge, 21130 Mount Rose HWY, Reno NV 89511.
(SKY KIDS- Ages 4-5 SKI will have a separate orientation, TBD)
Wednesday, November 6, 7-8 pm

Instructor Orientations (Returning and New)
Please attend at least one of the following training sessions and bring your POLES (all are 10 am-12 pm):
- Sunday, Nov. 3 - certified and returning volunteer SKI Instructors
- Saturday, Nov. 16 - certified, returning, and new volunteer Instructors
- Sunday, Dec. 8 - certified, returning, and new volunteer Instructors
*Certified and Volunteer instructors are invited to access the Sky Tavern Instruction Forums on SkiTalk. We will use these forums to convey important information that will help you teach snowsports to children. Go to www.skitalk.com and sign up for an account. Note at sign-up that you are part of the Sky Tavern instructor group to gain access to the private Sky Tavern forums.
