Announcing Sky Tavern 2.0
Given the retirement announcement of our executive Director Bill Henderson, after a 23 year successful career, The Sky Tavern Board is pleased to announce the succession plan for Reno’s largest City Park and the home of the 76-year strong Jr Ski Program.
Pat Cashell has been named as the new CEO that will be leading Sky Tavern into the future. Pat's ties to the Reno region and his successes in the area have resulted in his salary and benefits being sponsored for 3 years by a local donor. The Board deeply appreciates this support which allows the addition of Chris Brown as COO/ED of the organization. Chris has extensive experience in managing ski and bike resorts in the western United States. His unique skill set, and experience makes Chris the best candidate to protect the Jr Ski Program founded by Local teacher Marce Herz and grow programs to serve the need in our community for affordable mountain sports programs, events and entertainment.
Come up to meet the new members of Sky leadership at a Town Hall Meeting which will be held at 6:00PM on Wednesday March 6th at the Sky Tavern Lodge. This will give the new leaders a chance to share their vision and allow members, volunteers, and neighbors to ask questions.
We are looking forward to welcoming Pat Cashell and Chris Brown to the leadership team at Sky Tavern. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the programs.
Sincerely,
The Sky Tavern Board of Directors
