Summer Solstice Dig Day

Thanks to our amazing mountain bike community, we experienced an incredible turnout at our first Dig Day of the season. Dozens of you showed your support by digging snow trenches, fixing berms, trimming brush, and raking pine cones. While it may have been a late opener, we kicked the season off with prime conditions.

Trail Report

All trails are now open daily from sunrise to sunset. This past week, we cleaned and buffed High Five, installed the drop on Black Rock just below Sky Tavern road, and repaired numerous sections across the mountain. High Five and Rick Sutherland, our two newest machine-built trails, are running better than new!

We’ve instituted a singletrack, switchback reroute of the middle section of the Easy UP climb trail for a safer, easier climbing experience. Please adhere to all signage and take caution as many sections are still fresh and soft. We’re still working on cutting in several sections at the top.

Please do not conduct any trail maintenance without permission. Riding any terrain other than designated trails is prohibited.

Clinics

We’ve kicked off our Riders in the Sky skills clinics and they are selling out quickly! We still have a few spots remaining for the Youth Progression Clinics and the August and September women-inclusive dates. Muc-Off will be joining us for the August 22^nd Women’s Clinic for a special Intro to Bike Maintenance clinic, so book quickly before it sells out!

Reno Adaptive

Our friends at the City of Reno Adaptive and Inclusion Program are hosting an adaptive camp at Sky Tavern on July 22/23. They’re looking for a handful of volunteers to help out in two-hour blocks. If you can volunteer a couple hours of your time, please take a look at the schedule and sign-up form.

October 14^-- Save the date now for our October 14^th Party in the Sky Fall Fundraiser mountain biking event. You don’t want to miss this! All proceeds will go to the bike park. Details coming soon.
