Buses. No buses on Saturday. Buses as usual on Sunday. Bus tickets are on sale until Thursday at 10 AM. See below for more.
Open both days this weekend, April 15-16, for what is a "normal year Week 7".
Bus info. Washoe County School District spring sports are in full swing meaning Sky Tavern has lost the buses for Saturdays. Sorry, everyone tried but the drivers have other kids to haul around town. We have buses for Sunday this week and maybe next. Bus kids can come up Saturday if can find a ride or if there are tickets available, come Sunday for a change. If your parents drive you up, have them stop by the front desk and we should be able to get them on the snow for cheap if they want to. Again sorry, but it is all due to the snowfall that canceled so many days and we bumped into lacrosse, swimming, and track seasons. I was a bus kid way back in the dark ages, I would be bummed. Find a ride.
Week 7. We are back to lessons for one last time. Do it right and pass to the next level for the next season's start or to be that much better than Rosebud kids. Opening and starting right after the National Anthem so please be on time. Week 8 is games and races and other events that we can pull off. Ideas? Come by the front desk a pitch it.
Other random topics
This weekend is level 1 testing for a handful of instructors. They have spent the season training and studying to get to this day. Just like you, they are all volunteers and working to make Sky Tavern cool for the kids. Wish them luck.
The snow is actually melting so a bit gloopy out there. The waterfall off the roof is at full flow and Sky Tavern Rd is a white water park. Keep the wind down and we might just have real spring skiing for the last weekends. Selby's Pond at the south end of the parking lot is melting out so not a good place to play and the "lake parking lot" is either done or just for Suzanne and her monster Jeep.
Lost and found. Come on guys, skiing is not cheap but is more expensive when you can't find your coat and need a new one. LOST & FOUND IS HUGE. It is sitting out in the front room. Come find your shoes, water bottle, glove, or car keys. If you don't pick it up it gets boxed and sold at the Sky Swap. How we keep skiing here cheap.

The Tentative Schedule for the rest of the Season. Subject to change! We are having to mix things up a little because of other conflicts, events, the band getting back together, and stars aligning.
April 15-16 Normal Program Days. Instructors and all. Get punched up to that level! It is PSIA/AASI test weekend so be prepared to see lots of smiles at the end from our dedicated instructors. No buses on Saturday.
April 22-23 Last weekend of the Jr Ski Program with all the parties and silliness that makes this place fun. Last buses and only on Sunday.
April 29-30 Open Ski and Fun Weekend. More surprises if we get it figured out. The PSIA/AASI Convention is going on so best pass that level the weeks before. The folks to pass you will be missing, out getting educated for next season.
