Open for Saturday, closed on Sunday for Easter
To get right to the point, Sky Tavern will be open on Saturday and closed Sunday We will be getting a little weather on Friday but nothing that is really going to do more than make it pretty. Buses will roll at the usual time and locations.
It looks like we are going to be missing a bunch of key people as Grandma called and said to get to her house for Easter. She lives in Tonopah. Because of that, lessons in the big kid program and SkyKids will not be happening. Still, you should come ski and ride. Fairly certain Race and Freestyle are a go. No idea about Grommets or SkyBridge, so check in with the groups. There will still be a few Certified Instructors around if you have to pass a level. Candy bar bribes work most of the time donuts for sure.
The best snow is early so show up at the normal time and we still need to run this place. Please help!
The Tentative Schedule for the rest of the Season. Subject to change! We are having to mix things up a little because of other conflicts, events, the band getting back together, and stars aligning.
April 9th, Easter CLOSED.
April 15-16 Normal Program Days. Instructors and all. Get punched up to that level! It is PSIA/AASI test weekend so be prepared to see lots of smiles at the end from our dedicated instructors.
April 22-23 Last weekend of the Jr Ski Program with all the parties and silliness that makes this place fun. We are trying to have buses but there may be a change. Stand by.
April 29-30 Open Ski and Fun Weekend. More surprises if we get it figured out. The PSIA/AASI Convention is going on so best pass that level the weeks before. The folks to pass you will be missing, out getting educated for next season.
That is what we have for now, very subject to change as the wind blows. Just so everyone knows that we are not going away to an island 10 minutes after closing, The Sky Ridge chairlift is being taken apart for maintenance as soon as the kids leave. Sky Tavern is in the second year of a many-year rebuild of our main lift. It will be %^&*s and elbows to get it done before the snowmaking install starts in June.
