Photos of the snow since Sunday
This is a silly amount of snow and there really is no way I can take a picture that does the experience justice. The lifts are buried, the parking lot is down three feet and it was cleared Monday for Mr. Fuel Truck Driver. The snow is up even with the deck. No stairs. Sorry Mike, but one of the bumps on the deck is the bbq.
There are four snowcats, the loader, three snowblowers, and a handful of shovels going at once trying to get Sky Tavern back to where it is usable for kids. Webster and Rocco are distant memories but a priority to find. Back-country skiers are getting in the way so a few trucks may go up for auction when the owners don't return. Kidding, geez. But I have spent most of the day trying to keep them and the crew apart. New position, traffic cop.
The reality is that this is a huge amount of heavy snow to manage. Sky Tavern has limited equipment but a lot of heart and doing double shifts to get it open.
