Snowboard Instructors

Oli Lieder is the head of snowboarding at Sky Tavern. He is a Level 2 with lots of knowledge and fun tools to get anyone snowboarding. This is part of his letter to his AASI( Americain Association of Snowboard Instructors) Cis.

Schedule at a glance for Saturday and Sunday
9 am. New and returning instructors helping with Dryland on the snow. Lifts close at 4 pm so free skiing too. All times and lengths of instruction clinics is approximate. The BBQ in the lodge will be open.
9- 10:30 am. Dryland training for new to snow kids.
9 am and ongoing all day will be support member orientation for non-instructing adult members. This is only for 1 hour.

From Oil Lieder:

I was hoping that the member instructors that showed up for pre-season training/orientation could participate with the other Certified instructors during Dryland. We covered much of the what they need to know in the preseason orientation and we prepped them for dryland. If there isn’t something specific that you want to share with them this weekend, I’d like them helping the kids and learning from the CIs. I was thinking the other instructors, that did not make it to orientation, can attend the morning meeting. Thoughts?

Note: Based on the list I received from Lythia today. We only have three new snowboard instructors that did not make it to orientation. However, there may be other instructors that did not register as an instructor but rather as support members.

These are the words of the Snowboarding "Progress Card" that will go back to the kids. It is a road map for teaching. We are trying to teach great things and at the same time KISS. (Keeping it simple, ____) Whatever we can do to make a kid's experience better, we will do.
