Snow is to continue through the week. Gear Rental appointments will most likely be postponed until the weekend. Call the office for the latest.

Saturday the 18th lifts evec training with Ski Patrol. We always need some kids to be the ones stuck in the chairlift. It is fun! 9 AM.

Thursday, December 16th The Adaptive Department is getting together.

Both nights are in the California Building, Idlewild Park at 7 PM.

Sky Tavern will be full of California tourists this weekend while we are doing gear rentals. If you can come up and help with gear or help keep people from being stupid and make them donate, please do.

This is just a really fast email because everyone wants to know about snow. Yesterday was 14 to 20 inches. Mack and Marty dug out the carpet lifts completely. Today that tower is all that is left of the lift and it is maybe 8 or nine feet high with two feet sticking out.

This is wet snow. Just what we need to build a base. Mike and Jim will be driving around and packing it down. Lots of work by the gang up there. Advil time.

The end of the indoor orientation meetings is Wednesday and Thursday the 15th and 16th.

Wednesday is for all the adults that are not instructors, Support Members. We will talk about all the other positions up here that need to get done. The sign-up sheet/website for those positions will be out next week. Please remember there is zip here for a staff. All that stuff that gets done at a Vail resort by someone in uniform is Mom and Dad here. There are some folks that have done the same job for years. Maybe we can get them to stop by Wednesday to talk a little to the new members.

General talk is at 7 and then bust up into groups by different departments. Those departments will try to convince you to come work with them. We are going to record this as well so you can see the orientation part if you miss it.

Our Adaptive Department gets the California Building, Thursday the 16th, to hold their get the group together night. This is just for adaptive so Greg and his group can meet everyone and make a plan for 2021. If you are signed up in adaptive, please stop by. There is still a little space so if you know a child with a disability that never thought they could get on snow, these guys can change that. Come find out how.

You are going to see more adaptive sports at Sky Tavern in the coming years. We are very actively looking for adults that would like to be adaptive instructors. There is always a greater need than we can cope with to teach adaptive sports. We will be holding adaptive clinics on Fridays once the season starts to create more instructors.

We are having some issues with Apple right now regarding our app. If you have it loaded it still works but Apple pulled it until we redo it again to their liking. It is in the Playstore for android. Stand by and we will figure out what the most cash-rich company in the world wants from us. LOL.

SkyKids and Snowboarding Freestyle are filled up. Prices will increase when there is skiable snow which might be very soon. We are trying to hold the prices down as low as possible. Donations offset costs by a huge percentage. Thank you donors.
