OK, it is melting. Whatever. We open all winter long knowing this day would come. I still sulk every year.
Saturday, April 10th. Volunteer Member Appreciation BBQ lunch and sledding.
Come up at 10:30 or so. Patrol has a little bit of work to do in the morning at 9:30 and Mike says he can build a sled run. Bring sleds, tubes whatever. I am sure the kids will find snowbikes. (This is partially an experiment on if we can build a tubing park to make some money from the California tourists next Christmas now we have lifts to move them up the hill.)
Saturday's BBQ is on Sky Tavern, as in a free lunch. It gives us a chance to thank each other for pulling off a season when frankly we never thought it would happen. Anyone remember sitting at Ski Swap after the doors closed and we said "but what if it never happens"? There were twenty of us there that day. If we had only known.
The Moms need a headcount, so please click the link to RSVP. Please do it by Wednesday with how many are coming. We are at 70 so far. Tri-tip and chicken plus salads. If you want to turn the skis and board back in to us please make certain your name gets on the return list. I will be doing the return process the week of the 26th-30th when I take the bus to different parts of town for pickups. I need a little time to get organized first. Stand by for more about that when we are closer.
