Last Saturday worked. A fair number of instructors showed up for their lesson on how to teach kids. Because that is what we do around here, teach kids, we are repeating the process this weekend. If you are an instructor you know there is a lot to teaching snowsports. It is not overwhelming but it is something that you need some skills and tricks for. We want the teaching here to be constant and amazing. We have a reputation to uphold as being the best place to learn. Come on up.

If you took a clinic last week come and take another from someone else. If you didn't, get up here. This includes JR Instructors and anyone that might have registered as a support member but is thinking instructing is more fun than washing pots. As instructors, you are directly changing kid’s lives so come learn the tricks to make that happen, please. Sky Tavern will be open all day 9-4 both days is the plan.

SkyKids you received a separate email from Eaton about what the plan is for your group this weekend. Please follow those instructions.

So no huge amounts of regular kids up here yet. To be very honest the snow level is going the wrong way for January. We need snow to open and you might want to check the website Friday and Sunday just to make certain the grooming crew found their stash of pixy dust and did some magic. We can train instructors now on less snow, so they are ready for kids when the storms hit.

Storms are coming. Still a bit out yet most of the mountain is covered with a foot deep ice cube. Not a perfect base but not bad. Now we need the snow that goes on top of it we ski on. It will happen soon. This is winter in the Sierras these days. Why we need snowmaking badly.

That postcard your passes were attached to had the list of what kids are to do to make it snow. Just like our lifts actually run on smiles, kids have to do their part around here. You didn't throw it away, right?
